About the event

Many of the most important decisions in a company involve people: who we hire, who we promote, how we lead. We often rely on experience and intuition, yet research consistently shows that unconscious biases influence our perceptions and decisions more than we realise.


In this hands-on Werkgespräch hosted by WITS ecosystem partner Diversity-gr, Dr. Ines Hartmann, Co-Director of the Competence Center for Diversity, Disability and Inclusion (CCDI) at the University of St. Gallen, uses practical examples from HR and management to show where biases arise and how organisations can make their decision-making processes more conscious.


The afternoon combines short expert inputs with practical exercises and discussion, working through concrete situations from everyday business life: defining job profiles, conducting interviews, and making promotion decisions. Participants leave with practical approaches for reflecting on and developing their own HR processes.


The event is aimed at CEOs, HR managers, and executives, and closes with an apéro for informal exchange.
